Cookie Policy

This Cookies Policy refers exclusively to this website and should be understood as an integral part of the Privacy Policy provided on the same site.

Definitions, characteristics, and application of the regulations

Cookies are small text files that the websites visited by the user send and store on their computer or mobile device, to be then retransmitted to the same websites during subsequent visits.
Thanks to cookies, a website remembers the user's actions and preferences (such as login data, chosen language, font sizes, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not need to be re-entered when the user returns to visit the site or navigates from one page to another.
Cookies are therefore used to perform computer authentications, session monitoring, and storing information regarding the activities of users accessing a site. They may also contain a unique identification code that allows tracking of the user's navigation within the site for statistical or advertising purposes.
During navigation on a site, the user may also receive cookies from websites or web servers other than the one they are visiting (so-called "third-party cookies").
Some operations could not be performed without the use of cookies, which in certain cases are technically necessary for the site itself to function.
There are various types of cookies, depending on their characteristics and functions, and these can remain on the user's computer or mobile device for different periods: so-called session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed; so-called persistent cookies, which remain on the user's device until a predetermined expiration date.
Under current Italian regulations, the use of cookies does not always require the user's explicit consent. Specifically, "technical cookies," i.e., those used solely to carry out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communication network or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user, do not require such consent.
In other words, these are cookies essential for the functioning of the site or necessary to perform activities requested by the user.
Among technical cookies, which do not require explicit consent for their use, are also included so-called navigation or session cookies (for authentication) and functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate based on a series of selected criteria (e.g., language, products selected for purchase) to improve the service provided.
For "profiling cookies," on the other hand, i.e., those aimed at creating user profiles and used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user during web browsing, prior user consent is required.
